T&FN July 1968 II: On page 4 there is a brief paragraph on the July 19-21, 1968 Masters Track and Field National Outdoor Championship.
Track and Field News ran a few short articles written by Alphonse Juilland and later in 1975 Peter Mundle on Masters Track and Field
from (about) 1969 until (about) 1977 or 1979, the articles were called “Seniors, 30 & Up”, “Seniors, 35 & Up”, and “Masters Scene.”
T&FN July 1969 II: On page 4 there is a brief story on the July 3-6, 1969 Masters Track and Field National Outdoor Championship.
T&FN Nov. 1970: On page 20 is Alphonse Juilland’s “Seniors, 30 & Up.” A brief story is written by David Pain “Masters Vital Incentive.”

T&FN Feb. 1971: On page 25 is Alphonse Juilland’s “Seniors, 30 & Up.” A brief story is about Roger Ruth (a masters track and field athlete).
Page 27 in the magazine includes a picture of Alan Cranston.
T&FN Aug 1971: On page 21 is Alphonse Juilland’s “Seniors, 30 & Up.” Brief story is on the June 19-21, 1971 Senior Sports
International Meet (2nd Annual) held at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The story refers to the meet as “the World Senior’s
Championship.” Meet included Ron Morris (36), Parry O’Brien (39), Dean Smith (39), Shirley Davisson, Ralph Higgins,
John Whittemore, Virgil McInyre, Ed Lowell, and Boo Morcom.
T&FN Aug. 1971: On page 21 there is a brief story on the July 2-4, 1971 Masters Track and Field National Outdoor
Championship held in San Diego.
T&FN advertisement for: April 19-21, 1973 the 2nd Annual Hawaii Masters Track and Field Championship.
T&FN advertisement for: March 9, 1974 the 2nd Annual Masters Eastern Indoor Championship, held in New Jersey.
T&FN April 1974: On page 26-27 has a short story on Thane Baker.
T&FN: 1975 included “Masters Scene” by Peter Mundle which includes Masters Age-Group Records for running events,
and highlights of some early 1975 meet results.
T&FN Feb 1977: (per June 1977 USMITT) T&FN included the 1976 Masters Athlete of the Year
1975 to 1977 (or to 1979): T&FN included “Masters Scene” assisted by Peter Mundle.
By early 1973 Peter Mundle was contributing Over-40 World Records to Track and Field News.
1963 International Age List:
Prior to the 1971 Age Records by Hugh Gardner: During 1963, Hugh Gardner’s “International Age List” was printed
by “Track Newsletter” (owned by Track and Field News). It included marks up to age 32 (on some events up to age 42).
