Heart of Palm Springs 5k and 10k runs (Heart of PS): 1979 to 1998

  • Starting in 1979, Heart of Palm Springs 5k and 10 k runs were held.
    In the beginning only the 10 k runs, and it was later expanded to 5k and 10k runs.
    Many of the 1979 to 1998 results can be found in the Desert Sun newspaper.
    The runs sometimes ran on the same weekends as the Palm Springs Senior Olympics,
    and sometimes were listed as part of the Palm Springs Senior Olympics results.
    1998 was the 20th annual.  Steve Scott and Ruth Wysocki had participated in the event.
